They were more shaped like a box back then. Compared to todays machines :)
The first sled I ever owned :)
Paid $10 for it. Had to pull it out of a snow bank. It had no hood on it (it was in the kids garage) and he had the head off so the engine was covered in snow.
The head was just machined down because it was overheating all the time and then it got pushed into the snow and it was believed to be dead forever.
After complete disassemble/reassemble I had a working 75 Rupp 440. Always started first pull with a quarter of a can of ether :lol
Ended up trading it for my XR250 which had an unfortunate cam chain break/cam break/take everything else with it accident. Sold that for $250.
So I still made out :)

I know they were so ugly.
I can remember being younger though and seeing like 91s/92s and being like "damn they are so hot"
But the current machines make them look like all old and dated now :(
It's like that with everything. Remember sport bikes from 95? :)

from that page they have two pics that are close to mine... the first one is a 1972 SkiRoule from Canada... except mine was bright yellow... and the second pic the sled on the right is the same as what I had which was a 1979 Arctic Cat El Tigre 5000
