Best Pipe

I dont care if this is in the wrong forum but im posting it in here because it gets a lot of traffic. :p

I have a 250 and I wanna know the best aftermarket exhaust system i can get. The best performance pipe rated now. I was thinking about fmf, pro circuit but i need all of your opinions. Thanks.

to answer your question ... u would first have to figure out what u want to gain from the pipe? mid end? top end? ... depends on your style of riding... when i raced i had a few pipes for different tracks/setups etc. fmf almost always has a decent pipe for anytime... some of there pipes start way at the bottom and even show decent increase in the top end... so if your riding in woods ... low speeds/low rpms... you should consider something that is designed to pull hard at the "bottom" on the other had u might like high speed motos... kinda like outdoor MX... where u should look at a pipe that is set up mainly for the "top" or high end... if my memorys right fmf makes a pipe called REV... and it smokes... if u ever plan on riding "flattrack" which of course requires a whole different suspension ... wheels tires etc... you might want to look into a company called DynoPort... i used them when i raced at long tracks... where your basically in 6 gear wide open at 90plus mphs on a round oval track something like a normal fmf pipe would get toasted by a set up that the dynoport does... hope that helps ya out! just remember youll be lucky to get a extra 10% horsepower increase on virtually any pipe u buy... its just where will those extra 4 or 5 ponies show up?

But seriously...the pipe depends on the riding environment...if you plan on hitting trails..get a FMF gnarly...or invest in some pipe protection armor...because 2-3 hard rides will make a new pipe pretty un-new looking.

I had FMF on my KX250...didnt seem to need much help on the bottom...but I definately needed some on the top......but I'm a Dirt Biking squid!!:thumbsup
