 .............why local dealers charge OVER msrp for parts? Phibbs wants 140 something for an NRC cover. Msrp on the NRC website is 128. They want 440 something for a GPR damper. Msrp is 395. What are they doing, charging for shipping or something?

Gettin greedy bro!!! It's called buisness............
It does suck too...
It's economic principle -- supply and demand. In the Spring demand is high, prices go up. In the Fall demand is low prices get discounted. They get it because they can.

Check with 4-play powersports for prices! :thumbsup
Yeah, shipping probably has something to do with it and also demand although I've never had a problem at Phibbs. You could go to 4 Play and depending on who you get it from Gail or Scott can probably get it for you sooner since they go through local vendors and they give you a reasonable price.:)

This is solved by just going to 4play. I've had problems everywhere else and the stuff if ordered is there FAST, and if you can't get in there they'll ship it to ya... Its Great.

It's simple, they raise the prices because people will still buy it. Plus, a gpr steering damper is a high-end item, expect dealers to give high-end pricing.

E-Bay it up yo!
why 4-play doesn't charge msrp either!
They charge less :)
MSRP includes the dealers' shipping costs. They are price-gouging. Go to 4Play. Fuck the dealers.

I'd also becareful on E-bay- I recall someone recently overpaying for a helmet on e-bay.;) All it takes is one phone call to the shop and at least then you will know before hand..:thumbsup

For the most part I agree with you Chris. But there are plenty of internet sites that run very large warehouses (Dennis Kirk, Chapparal, Rocky Mountain) that have a lot of overhead and they still charge MSRP.
There are shops like Tobefast (McCoy motorsports) that have closed their store fronts because the internet business is much busier and they get a larger return on it as well.
if you tell Dennis Kirk, Chapparal, Rocky Mountain of a better price though they will most likley match it. ive found that the large sites like that always have the higher prices because a vast majority of people dont shop around so, they get what they can from those people.
ive gotten a bunch of things from 4play and there prices there have been excellent. when you factor in shipping costs for internet it works out to be about the same as getting it local & paying sales tax. plus gail is SMOKIN !!!:thumbsup
