Hello everyone. I would like to invite everyone to come see us at our shop and introduce yourself as a fellow member of this web site. We are very determined to become the number one independent shop in the Capital Region. Give us a shout or stop by. We also have a web site. It is listed in my personal page here.
Not sure what the rules of commercial enterprises on this site are so I'll stop here. Hopefully some of you will reply and give some advice. Perhaps I will be able to do the same. Look forward to meeting everyone from the site.
Sincerely,
Jim Romeo

That was very honorable of you to add the link. Just not sure what the rules are here as far as promoting private enterprise. But I thank you for that.
As for GSXR01................can you bring along your white shirted, big Ti**ed helper that is in your photo when you come over? Guys here have been laughing at that photo. Very clever.
Jim
It depends on the business and how it's done. You guys are more then welcome to use the site fully. I'm always looking for good dealers who are willing to help out the members and participate on the site and offer deals and advice!

Same here Wild Bill. Hope you liked the place. I'm sure we can hook up for some help with your racing this season. If I could get one of these sign maker clowns to make me some quality decals I could start getting some stuff done for the race season.
Everybody is welcome to come over and hang out for a bit and bs with us a little while. We enjoy it and it breaks up the day a bit. Yes, Rob is a nut for road racing and has quite a bit of experience with the Suzuki SV 650s.
C'mon back soon when it's not so busy. Been real busy this week.
Jim;)

Aren't you the guy that was complete dick to me when I stopped in while I was waiting to do business with your neighbor at the Audio shop? I showed you a pic of my SV and asked about some engine work and you blew me off. I still remember that to this day. I also recall you telling me that I was an idiot for asking about engine work on a superbike. Have a nice day.

That is very possible, I still remeber that conversation with the (possibly) old owner and was completely turned off to that shop. My bad if that was indeed the case.
I had the same thing happen to me when I went to the "old" shop. It used to be called "Cycles Etc."

just a random question... my friend had a ninja that she took to cycles etc... and they blew up her engine...
oh, and they they blammed her for it... oh, and they kept the bike for over a month and a half.. from what i hear, the guy still works there too
and, yea, my new bike HAS been to procycles, the kid that owned it before me took it there... i dunno about ever taking my bike there...
good luck tho...
I don't really know what your question is in that run on post that you just made, all I could gather was you wanted to know if Jim still worked there. The new owner of that shop is Jim Romeo and he had nothing to do with the previous shop Cycles Etc.. Jim is a highly qualified mechanic with a very extensive background motorcycles AND automobiles.

07-17-2007, 09:30 AM
well i'm talking about a guy named jim, who worked for cycles etc... this was probably 5 years ago... i dunno the new owner... but the guy that worked on my friends bike gave her some story about it not working before... it worked fine, and it just needed an oil change
but, bite my head off why dont ya
Well to come on a public forum and just start spewing things when you don't know all the facts I.E. "this guy", "i don't know if he still works there" just isn't going to get you anywhere. I'm not trying to bite your head off...

wow... forum... imagine this... a place to convey different opinions... wow :eek
i'm just saying that someone i know had a really shitty time dealing "this guy" jim that worked there at one point
there are other opinons of the place... i'm just saying, i heard he still works there, and i wont bring my bike there b/c of it ....
the "old shop reputation" or what have you.
but, i'm sorry if really shitty customer service turns me off to a place
Well 5 years ago Jim Romeo was teaching automotive at Hudson Valley which he did for 17 years, so I'm guessing it's not that same guy. As far as not going there now to get your bike worked on, I say it's your loss because he does excellent work.

LucyInDaSky...
I understand that you're trying to steer people away from a unreputable place that you've heard bad things about. It might just be a coincident that the previous guy was also named Jim.
I can reassure you that Jim Romeo is one of the most trustworthy guys to deal with. He is not the cheapest (nor is he expensive), but he knows far more than many others combined and most importantly, has integrity. I don't say that about many people, but I believe him to be an honest guy and someone I want to deal with.

We deal with Jim too and have never had a problem.
Yes, you are certainly entitled to voice your opinion, but if you do so, expect that others will also voice theirs and you may not like what you get back.
And perhaps throwing potentially damaging info out there should be done more carefully - we are talking about Jim's bread and butter here.
Just a thought. :)

I've been happily dealing with Procycles for 2yrs now for all of my street bike and dirt bike needs and Jim Romeo and his son have always been friendly, professional, and very fair. Their level of quality and commitment to excellence is second to none.
Go visit them and see for yourselves. :thumbsup

Let's get this all straightened out:
There used to be a person named "Jim" who worked at the former "Cycles ETC". I'm not fimiliar with the particular job in question however. There was also a person named "Rob" who also worked there along with Joe and Jeff the owner. None of these people work at Pro Cycles
I have no information or knowledge of what happened with this blown up engine. No doubt there is far more to the story than we are being told so it's all hearsay until the facts are clear.
And yes, as Walt clearly states, I was a faculty at HVCC for 17 years previous to opening this shop on 1/1/2005 so I was not around at that time.
Here's hoping to see you soon.
Walt, Mike and Ray..................You guys ROCK!!! Oh yeah, you too T-GURL!!!

The only tool in this thread is the one that should be used to smack you upside the head with, in hopes of getting you to reword your run on bs. Type your thoughts clearly and don't leave out information which apparently renders your opinion pointless.
okay, I'm done. I must have forgotten about something called inner monologue.

take your shitty ass attitude somewhere else, i hear northeastmoto is lookin for a few new asshats. it was explained to you that the same person your refering to is NOT the same person that runs procycles. ive delt with jim on a few occasions and i have to say he is one of the most educated techs ive spoken with reguarding motorcycles. your conveying your opinion on something that has nothing to do with this shop or owner. i know a guy jim that works at a local dealer here, should i not go there and give my "opinion" that his shop sucks because his name is jim and someone somewhere at some shop named jim ripped your buddy off?
holy shit ignorant people really piss me off
