I had hoped to do more on this this week, both on the issue of who can vote and re-defining the officer structure, but this cold I've had really knocked the wind out of me.

We need more proposals to discuss on both of these issues. Kevin already put one out there for "Land Steward". I also think the "Secretary-Treasurer" and "Corresponding-Secretary" job descriptions need to be re-defined.

Also, as the world has now moved in to the "electronic information age" a position for "Webmaster" should also now be considered - this officer would maintain a web hosting account and regularly updated club website with news, events and information concerning the club and maintain an email list of members and be in charge of handling all electronic communication within the club and from outside the club. The "Webmaster" should do this while protecting the privacy of club members to the greatest extent possible, and also while promoting the good image and activities of the club. I may submit an amendment proposal on this shortly.....any thoughts?

Does the club still need a "Referee" and "Road Captain"? Or maybe a "Road & Trail Boss" to fill some of the duties of these two positions? Something else to think about...

Jeff
